Fashion regeneration is as important as any regeneration in this world, that's why there are job promotions, program updates, and presidential election. In Rejuvenation, a show of fashion regeneration that was held on July 22, at the Upper Room, Jakarta, 25 year old fashion designer Albert Yanuar was one of the chosen few to start this new breed of young talents. A quarter parts of a four fashion act that includes other new designers like Hian Tjen, Imelda Kartini and Tex Saverio, this designer definitely understands that subtlety is important in style. For his collection that was titled The Age of Reckoning, Albert Yanuar created 19 elegant designs that are actually very wearable - if that is, your style includes the occasional cocktail dresses or luxurious ball gowns. It is a commendable effort when what he means is to design collections that walk out from the often tacky "bling-bling" detailing. The silhouette chosen were familiar, the style is proverbial, but the details were done in such a perfect manner that it is where Albert Yanuar's craftsmanship really shines through and should be looked forward in the future. Each color that was chosen to the pleats, ruffle and embellishments were just done so delicately that it gave optimum strength on the style itself. The dramatic effect that he means in this collection also shone through from the use of the layers of chiffon in the last design that came out at the end of his runway. This collection is wearable art and fashion style combined into one and it deserves an A+ for amazing. [
