The last Sundaze party took place in late October 2009. No wonder that Sundaze Metro, the first Sundaze to open the celebrated outdoor Sunday parties for this year, was highly anticipated. Sundaze Metro was held on May 23rd, 2010 at Epicentrum Walk, Rasuna Epicentrum, Kuningan, Jakarta. The breeze wasn’t the only thing that was cool that night, the line-up of international and local DJs , bands and singing divas were also very cool indeed - we’re talking Cool with a capital “C.” From legendary names such as House DJ Terry Hunter from Chicago and Lisa Shaw who sang a few of her wicked deep-house tracks like “Always” and “Those Things” during Terry Hunter’s set, it was really an experience to see and dance to the two epic performers doing their magic on the main stage. Over at the Jazzed Dub stage, Kyoto Jazz Massive Live PA from Japan with DJ Shuya Okino, Hiderow Nishioka on the percussions and the soulful vocals of Vanessa Freeman also grooved the night away with their Jazzy but dancey numbers. And let’s not forget all the local beat-heroes such as Maliq & D’Essentials, DJ Glen (Melting Pod), DJ Jhudeth, MC P Double, to name a few, that also heated up that Sunday. Sundaze is certainly a fine way to end your week and ease up into your Monday. We look forward to the all the Sundazes happening in 2010. |
